Nick applies some of the most advanced thinking on tax minimization and optimization to the situations of affluent families and the owners of private corporations. As a matter of fact, he has refined it to an art.
While there are all kinds of clumsy ways to struggle against tax, Nick brings skillful and elegant approaches that surprisingly meet both the scrutiny of the Canada Revenue Agency and the desires of his clients.
Perhaps that’s why he’s a frequent speaker at the Strategy Institute, or why Talk 640 invites him to speak on “Canada’s Money Show”. But more likely it’s because he’s dedicated his entire career to understanding the advanced nuance of tax-efficiently moving wealth in Canada. Whether a client is simply dealing with large earnings, or is planning inter-generational wealth transfer, or is trying to devise a strategy that will serve as their legacy in the future, Nick is able to work with his clients’ lawyers and accountants to create reliable, measurable, and ethical approaches to tax deferral and tax optimization.
A lifelong resident of Toronto, Nick earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 1991 as well as completing the CICA In-Depth Tax program. He has gone on to also receive the unique Trust & Estate Practitioner designation and is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners. When London Life/Great West Life originally formed its Tax & Estate Planning Group, Nick was the first person they brought on to the team. Since that time, Nick has received his Chartered Financial Planner designation and has worked with a diverse range of affluent clients to support them in achieving their goals.
Most owners of private corporations like to have a bit of a “secret weapon” on call to support them. Clients who work with DiBrina Sure Financial Group have access to a whole team of those “secret weapons” – Nick is one of them.
It doesn’t take very long to understand that Michael DiBrina is a business owner who likes to get things done, and done right. Like most of his clients, he started his business on his own and has grown it into one of the most successful firms of its kind in Canada. So he knows the frustrations, the opportunities, the sleepless nights and the exhilarating days that come with the territory. He also knows what risk means, and how to find a path through it to achieve the big dreams that really are possible.
That’s why his clients count on his experience and expertise to show them a way to have what they want.
Leveraging an entire career of financial planning, Michael shows the owners of private corporations and affluent families how to take control of their financial risks, minimize their tax exposure, plan for wealth transfer between generations, and protect their businesses and families all along the way.
Although you’ll find that Michael has a very easy way about him and connects with people quickly, you’ll also notice how seriously he takes his work. Michael has qualified for the industries prestigious Million Dollar Round Table for the past 13 years, and for the past 4 years has qualified for the Top Of The Table. To put that in perspective, this global organization of financial advisors has hundreds of thousands of members, and less than .5% of them meet this level of performance. Michael is literally one of the best in the world at what he does. He also holds the rare designation of Trust & Estate Practitioner, along with the highest honours and recognition that can be awarded to a Life Underwriter. When Michael speaks of “world class”, it’s not an expression to him, it’s a work day.
